These are my second pair of Arthurs and I don’t think that they’ll be my last! I love a dramatic pant shape and the Arthurs do not disappoint. They also have nice details, like flat felled center seams, which elevate them from basic elastic waist pant to something a little more interesting.I immediately purchased this pattern way back when it was first released, only to have it languish, unused, in my pattern collection for a couple of years- regretfully. If I had started making Arthurs then I could have at least 4 pairs (one per year) by now!I made the elastic waist variation because I love being comfortable. Robert Kaufman released new colors in one of my favorite ever basics- Brussels Washer (a 55% linen, 45% rayon blend), so of course I had to use one of those! I chose the yarn dyed “fern" colorway- a yellow forward dark forest green, and it has worked into my wardrobe beautifully. I love green because it is both color and neutral. Brussels Washer is perfect for nearly any garment project, but I especially love it for pants. I’ve found over the years that I tend to be a bit hard on my clothes, particularly pants, and Brussels Washer can really take a beating- which I appreciate! For me, this pair of Arthur’s is really versatile. I can easily dress them up or down depending on my mood or occasion.
