Jaime's Stone Wool Brackett Hat
I'm excited to announce that Fancy Tiger Crafts is now stocking Stone Wool - the new US yarn project from Whitney Hayward and Twig and Horn. Stone Wool currently features two yarn bases, a worsted US Cormo and a dk Romney-Merino blend. Of course, I couldn't wait to try out these new yarns so last weekend I cast-on a new hat project from the beautiful and inspiring Laine Magazine. The results are the perfect fall hat.
Pattern: Brackett Hat by Whitney Hayward from Laine Magazine Issue 3
Yarn: Stone Wool Cormo Worsted in Osage 03 (Available In-Store)
Size Made: one size
Modifications: my hat only took one skein and not two
I've been knitting stockinette stitch sweaters for what seems like months now. A cabled hat seemed like the perfect project to give me a quick break - its also the perfect project to showcase the soft, bouncy, Cormo yarn.
Cormo is known for its spring and bounce - it is a lovely fiber. This particular yarn is made from a flock of sheep in Wyoming and is milled in Wyoming, so it is close to home for me. The yarn is a worsted-spun, plied yarn and I really loved working with it. This would make a dreamy sweater.
All colors of Stone Wool Cormo and Romney/Merino are now available in store.

Hi, I am trying to find a copy of the Laine Magazine Issue 3 or a copy of the Brackett hat pattern that I could BUY.. Do you know how I can get it? THere seem to be references to it on Ravelry but they all just reach dead ends. Thanks for any help you can provide.
