Connie's Swoon-Worthy Fleurville Jumper

I had the honor to test knit for Weichien, aka the petite knitter.  This is the third time I have test knit for the petite knitter. Her patterns have always been love at first sight for me and as always, this pattern is  fun to knit and the design is simple and elegant. This pattern is part of LoveCraft’s upcoming The Yarn Collective Collection that will be released in June.

I think I subconsciously have a crush on Knerd String yarn. I have always been attracted to their colors and appreciate that they are local to Colorado. My yarn was a superwash merino wool that feels so soft.  This time, I used Shade 1 of 50 as the main color (MC), and Uniform as the contrasting color (CC) because I wanted the detail of the pattern would to stand out.

I made this jumper from top to bottom and used a size 2 needle.  I used 3 skeins of MC and a little bit of CC (Knerds String has mini skeins that are 87 yards that should suffice).  This pattern came with two lengths, a crop version and a tunic version.  I, however, added 3 more inches to the crop version and made it into a standard sweater length. I also used the CC to cast off to give a nice touch.

The test knit was completed last November. I had fun wearing this throughout the past winter.  It’s great to wear it on its own or with a shirt underneath. I think this merino would be great for a cool summer night as well.
