Pattern: Olya Shirt by Paper Theory
Size Made: 8
Materials Used: Check Gauze Jacquard, Neutral color, by Kokka Cotton, Button 15mm
Modifications: View B (crop top, 3/4 length sleeves, jewel neckline) - lengthened by 3"

I started this project back in March when it was still pretty cold. I wanted to make a shirt that was light weight, soft, and easy to transition into spring and summer. And I am a sucker for a beautiful, clean-pressed, white shirt!

Selecting the Check Gauze Jacquard and the Olya pattern fit this desire perfectly. The pattern's instructions were easy to follow. One hack I learned from working with other European patterns is to translate all of the metric measurements stated in the pattern instructions before cutting and/or sewing. It makes the process so much easier than translating as you go along.

The shirt was super easy to make. And, I love the soft flow of the fabric and how it feels on.
