Winters Beach Cardi KAL Wrap Up!

This is an image of Kim wearing her Winters Beach with Kelbourne Woolens Scout in oatmeal heather standing outside in front of trees and sand.

Our Winters Beach Cardi KAL has come to a close, just in time for cooler weather. We had so much fun seeing everyone’s progress, both in person and virtually, so thank you to all our participants! This was a fun pattern to do as a KAL, thanks to the interesting cables and textured stitches, as well as the afterthought pockets!

Kim (@diddlysquash_) made her Winters Beach with Kelbourne Woolens Scout in oatmeal heather, and it is the perfect cozy layering piece. Her favorite parts were all the fun cables, and the overall “wearability” of the cardigan- it truly goes with everything! This is an image of Kim twirling in her Winters Beach Cardi in front of trees with golden leaves. Kristen (@dosoknits) started her Winters Beach Cardi with the Hedgehog Fibers Tweedy in Future Reflections. "My favorite part of knit alongs is the community aspect. I love seeing everyone working on the same project, exploring different yarn combinations, and troubleshooting together!" Unfortunately, Kristen did not finish her cardigan, and actually had to frog the project because the size and color wasn't quite right. However, she isn't disappointed at all because of all the bonds created and fun conversations with everyone during the KAL.  This is an image of Kristen's unfinished Winters Beach Cardi laying on a white background with hands unraveling the garment. We had some wonderful entries for our contest for both finished and WIPphotos on the KAL instagram hashtag, #FTCwintersbeachKAL, and of course we want to highlight those! Our winner for best WIP photo was this cozy shot from @liakurtin, looks like a good time to us!The winner for best finished photo was @eileentompkins6, who’s sweater turned out gorgeous. Gotta love those pockets! Each of our winners will receive a $50 Fancy Tiger Crafts gift card and an exclusive FTC Zipper Tote! Thank you again for everyone who participated!  We hope to see everyone again at our next knit along!
