Pattern: Lottie Top by Christine Haynes
Fabric: Warp Weft Wovens Line "Flicker" in Lilac, by Alexia Abegg for Ruby Star Society
Size Made: 20
Modifications: none

I’ve shocked myself recently by being obsessed with all types of lavender and lilac purples. Purples that straddle the line between pink, or grey. I’m not a purple person. I am the opposite of a purple person, but I can’t enough of these shades this season! Who am I anymore?

Photograph taken showing the detail of the inside of Marta's front pocket. Marta is hold the front lip of the pocket open with both of her hands. There is a bright orange flower in Marta's right hand. The shirt is a light pink with bright little yellow threading, the inside pocket lining matches the detail fo the bright yellow ties.

This lilac and yellow swiss dot in Warp and Weft, Alexia Abegg’s new line of woven fabrics is the perfect shade of purple/pink pink/purple that I’m craving and I love it so much. The cotton has a lovely soft hand that is perfect for spring and summer garments!

I was intrigued to try the newly re-released Lottie Pattern by Christine Haynes because it seems so similar in shape and function to the Wiksten Shift dress and top- but it has a bust dart!

Photograph straight on and cropped to show the details of the front of Marta's shirt. Marta is holding a little orange flower in her right hand and her left hand is on her hip.

The fit is less boxy and quite a bit longer than the Wiksten top- which for me is a little problematic because I have a short torso and also prefer a more cropped fit! So even though I did shorten this top it is still a little long for my taste. I do love the side vents, and I’m looking forward to trying out the dress-both the long and short versions!
