Spicy Seathwaite Hat

Can you ever get enough of Cumbria's amazingly vibrant colors and incredible versatility? The answer is of course, no and the proof is in this beautiful, spicy orange, cable filled hat. It's the perfect accessory to brighten your spirits during unexpected springtime snow storms.

Pattern: Seathwaite by Kate Gagnon Osborn

Yarn: 1 skein of The Fiber Company's Cumbria in Catbells
Modifications: None

Every once and a while an amazing pattern comes along and you know that you must make it. When it is released by Fringe Assocation, designed by Kate Gagnon Osborn of Kelbourne Woolens, and 100% free you are basically obligated to cast on immediately.

The pattern calls for you to use Cumbria and it is not hard to see why! Cumbria's sturdy, yet soft texture with just a hint of fuzz makes it the perfect combination for these all over cables. Plus it comes in the most vibrant rainbow of colors! I want to see this hat knit up in every single colorway.

This cleverly written pattern makes labyrinthine cables straightforward and easy to follow. It should be noted that you must be able to read charts (or be willing to learn) if you are going to dive into this project. If you have never worked from a chart, maybe it is time to learn a new skill. The results will be absolutely worth it!
