I'm so in love with my casual summer knit—I am very tempted to cast on another one immediately! Over the last couple months, I casually knit up the Monday Tee (Mandagstee) by Pickles. It came with me on road trips and garden happy hours. It was a wonderfully chill knit.

Pattern: Monday Tee/Mandagstee by Anna & Heidi Pickles
Yarn: Tussah Tweed in Rust Aqua by BC Garn
Size: M

A new yarn to the shop, Tussah Tweed from BC Garn is a silky wonder. Each color is a tweedy blend of silk hues. The contrast color blend of Rust Aqua is stunning up close—a mix of fiery orange and pale aqua. From afar it is the most mysterious soft red. I was so excited to get it on my needles, and it is lovely to work with!

The Monday Tee pattern caught my eye because of its simplicity and the unique detail of a twisted rib saddle shoulder and sleeves. It is mostly a very simple knit with a lot of stockinette stitch, which made for some easy-as-heck knitting. Knitting the body flies by and by the time the body is finished you are practically done. The couple inches of sleeves take no time!

The light drapey fabric Tussah Tweed creates is perfect for a summer top, but I can also see this silk garment transitioning nicely into fall, layered with a denim jacket. So what color should I choose for my next one?
