Bailey Raha is a big fan of projects that use up scraps that are also something she’ll actually use! She designed this bag shortly after a big move required her to abandon much of her fabric stash. In a new place with only her most favorite scraps, she was determined to transform them into something. Making these little bags helped Bailey feel a little more at home in a new place and she hope it brings you something too.

While you can purchase new fabric for this project, Bailey recommends digging into your stash and breathing new life into those forgotten-about-favorites. This size bag is perfect for a sock project, for carrying around your favorite patches, threads or any other treasured items.

If making a bag or new patchwork experiments seem daunting to you, you may want to make a practice bag out of muslin, an old sheet, or something less precious before you cut into your favorite textiles.
