Beginner: No experience necessary — we’ll teach you everything!
Beginner Plus: You have taken a 101 class or equivalent. You are familiar with threading your machine or know basic knit or crochet stitches.
Intermediate: You’ve got a few projects under your belt. You’ve made a few things and are looking to increase your knowledge.
Advanced: You know quite a bit about your chosen craft and you’re ready to take it to the next level.
The Market Tote was developed as a beginner sewing class at our shop in Denver, and this classic tote can now be seen at many a farmer's market around town! 5/8 yds fabric (exterior)
1 yd coordinating fabric (lining, handles and pocket)
2 3/8 yds fusible cotton woven interfacing (optional) sewing thread
marking tool (chalk)
a rotary cutter
cutting mat and clear ruler is nice, *or* good old-fashioned fabric scissors and a yardstick will do sewing pins
turning tool (a chopstick will work)
