Get in the holiday spirit by crafting a macrame wreath with Amie Phillips from Boriya & Co! This versatile design looks great on your door or table during the holidays as well as a wallhanging year-round!
This workshop is great for beginners or anyone wanting to learn more about the techniques involved in macrame. Create a custom wreath using 4 different macrame knots...Knots learned will be: vertical larkshead, square knot, half hitch & clove knot. We will cover all your macrame questions from how to figure out how much rope you need to what types of materials work best for different projects, as well as touch on the history of macrame. The finished wreath is perfect as is, but you could take it home and starch it if you'd like to hang it on the wall.
Requires 8”-10” embroidery hoop OR 8-10” metal hoop and approximately 100-150 feet of rope/cord of your choice - Amie made the samples out of 3 MM Niroma cord. You could also use the 3MM Cotton Rope or experiment with the 5MM Cotton Rope for a chunkier look.
