Your knitting will vastly improve once you understand gauge and how to fix your own mistakes. This skills class will cover: what gauge is, how to measure for gauge, how to measure a gauge swatch, picking up a dropped stitch, how to fix a mistake three rows down, how to fix a dropped stitch at the end of a row and what to do if you forgot to slip your first/last stitch. You will also learn how to do a speed swatch and how substituting different yarns will affect gauge.
For the fixing mistakes portion of class, please bring light colored worsted weight yarn and matching needles. For the gauge portion of class, bring three yarns of two different weights with appropriate sized needles, and one set of needles to knit in the round (magic loop or dpns).
