These “Friolero” mittens--Spanish for someone sensitive to the cold--is the perfect pattern to warm the hands of any warm-hearted person in your life! These simple, fetching mittens are knitted up with Colorado’s own yarn, Junegrass: Batch Two. With an easy cable pattern and simple gusset thumb, these will definitely become a wintertime favorite!

Materials 1 skein Junegrass: Batch 2, or 160 yards of DK weight yarn
Tools US 3 (3.25mm) needles (32” circulars for magic loops or DPNs), 4 stitch markers (2 sets of different markers), tapestry needle, cable needle
Gauge 24 sts over 4” in stockinette
Size Will fit palm size of 7” around, stretch up to 9”
