Beginner: No experience necessary — we’ll teach you everything!

Beginner Plus:   You have taken a 101 class or equivalent. You are familiar with threading your machine or know basic knit or crochet stitches.

Intermediate: You’ve got a few projects under your belt. You’ve made a few things and are looking to increase your knowledge.

Advanced: You know quite a bit about your chosen craft and you’re ready to take it to the next level.

Come hone your crochet skills and expand your knowledge in this versatile craft. Whether you're a beginner and just mastering the basics, or an expert looking to learn more advanced techniques and patterns, all are welcome to come stitch! 

You will walk away from this class with all the resources to write your own pattern.

Bring a project you want to rework or come ready to jump head first into a new one. We'll touch on tapestry crochet techniques, basics of garment construction, and even how to create your own pattern. Multiple different patterns for granny squares, stitches, and even garments designed by local artist, Caroline Worrell will be provided.

Class fee includes 9 hours of in-person instruction, multiple garment pattern templates, detailed information booklet, and access to Zoom link for one-on-one help outside of class upon request.

Materials:

  • A small supplies list will be sent to students prior to the first day of class. Come make the sweater vest of your dreams!
  • Recommended: a computer or device for documenting and research

About your Instructor:

Caroline Worrell is an emerging Denver-based fiber artist who explores the intersections of art + fashion through the use of traditional Women's craft processes. A gift that was passed down through multiple generations of matriarchs, Caroline believes crocheting is a tool for creation, meditation, and activism.

Caroline specializes in crocheted wearables, natural dye processes, and various other sustainable fiber practices. Her work can be found on her Instagram (@carolineworrell) or her website, www.carolineworrellfibers.com.
