Fancy Tiger Crafts is not the only local craft enthusiasts celebrating their 15th anniversary this year! Knitting 4 Peace, based here in Denver, is an organization dedicated to creating peace, one stitch at a time. Since their founding in June 2006, they have delivered requested handmade items to more than 194,219 people living in communities across the United States and 82 countries around the world.
Fancy Tiger is thrilled to partner with K4P and create a peace pod - a crafting circle that meets to socialize while working on projects. If you’re new to K4P, head to their website to see what sorts of items are currently requested by partner organizations, as well as crafting guidelines to make sure your efforts do the most good. Despite the name, there are some projects for crocheters and sewists as well!
Pink will be hosting the Peace Pod meet-up, and she is taking part in Adopt a Native Elder partnership. She is knitting a cowl for a member of the Dine Nation, which has been hit terribly hard by COVID. There’s plenty of projects for all skill levels, so grab your tools and jump in!
