Beginner Plus:   You have taken a 101 class or equivalent. You are familiar with threading your machine or know basic knit or crochet stitches.

Intermediate: You’ve got a few projects under your belt. You’ve made a few things and are looking to increase your knowledge.

Advanced: You know quite a bit about your chosen craft and you’re ready to take it to the next level.

Have you ben wanting to learn how to knit short rows, but unsure where to start?

Join Kristen and knit a Bandana Cowl by Purl Soho! This super quick knit is a great project to learn how to knit short rows because there are some almost every row! The bandana cowl is also a great gift because they knit up so quickly!

Techniques to be comfortable with before coming to class:

  • Knitting and Purling in the round
  • Long Tail Cast On
Techniques discussed in this class:

  • Wrap and Turn Short Rows
  • SK2P decreases
Required Materials (sold separately):

  • Bandana Cowl pattern by Purl Soho
  • 1 skein of Aran Weight yarn - Kristen's sample is knit using Blue Sky Fibers Extra (worsted weight yarn is also a great substitute)
  • US 10 (6mm) 16" circular needle (or size needed to hit gauge)
  • 3 Locking Stitch Markers
