This class is for everyone who loves mending and handwork, whether you are brand new or have some experience.

Great gifting idea for the holidays, start crossing those to-do's off your list! Have a loved one pick a beloved possession (shirt, pants or bag) or anything else that needs mending or gift yourself by mending something for you. There is satisfaction in putting a garment or bag back into circulation that has stories and connection to it!

In this class we will go over a plethora of ideas to mend: applique and reverse applique patches, basic embroidery, sashiko, stamping with fabric ink, couching fibers, adding beads and sequins, how to make your own sequins, adding trims, wool patches, we will also discuss how you could add knitting or crochet to your project (how to learn to knit or crochet not included), and caring for your mended garment

  • shirt, pants or bag to mend
  • thimbles if you use them
  • anything you want to sew onto your project
