Beginner: No experience necessary — we’ll teach you everything!
Beginner Plus: You have taken a 101 class or equivalent. You are familiar with threading your machine or know basic knit or crochet stitches.
Intermediate: You’ve got a few projects under your belt. You’ve made a few things and are looking to increase your knowledge.
Advanced: You know quite a bit about your chosen craft and you’re ready to take it to the next level.

In this two-session class, students will learn the basics of machine quilting. These are the stitches that hold your quilt layers together and add a design element to the quilt. Areas to be covered include choosing batting, layering and basting the quilt, how to choose a quilting design and thread, and straight line and free-motion stitching.
Students should be comfortable using a sewing machine and a rotary cutter, and should have experience in patchwork.
