Pattern Name and Designer: Color Quadrant Top by James N. Watts
Materials used: Flax & Twine Daytime Linen
Modifications: Made front a size L and the back a size M
When the Daytime Linen from Flax & Twine came in I was immediately attracted to the rust brown colors. It's one of my favorite colors every and it looked so cool and graphic hanging next to the black and white yarn. I just knew I wanted to make a summer linen garment with those three colors together! I was stuck trying to figure out what to make until Marta suggested the Color Quadrant Top by James Watts!
I love the color blocking of this top so much, it was the perfect pattern for what I was imagining with a few small changes. I did opt for the tank top version, I left off the pocket, and because I was using three colors instead of four I made altered the layout of the color blocking on the back.I also experimented with an easy fit alteration I'd been thinking of trying to better accommodate my bigger chest. I used the size Large Measurements for the front of the shirt and Medium for the back. I am really happy with the results and feel like the top fits better, especially in the armholes, then it would have otherwise.
