Hi!
My name is Kim Giovannini, and I’m so happy for the opportunity to illustrate the Fancy Tiger Crafts 16th Anniversary tee. Danielle messaged me through Instagram (we had been following each other for the love of sewing). She asked me if I’d like to design something for the co-op.❤️

My background is in Fine Art with a focus in Illustration. I graduated a long time ago, 1999, from NIU with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, and went immediately into graphic design. I’ve worked for a chromatography manufacturing company designing catalogs and brochures, an arts & crafts supplier for their packaging design department, and finally being self-employed since 2005 when I had my daughter.

Now I’ve begun to enjoy learning about Sashiko, Boro, and Pojagi sewing as well as learning to weave on a rigid heddle loom. If you ever take a peek at my IG, there’s lots of shenanigans going on: surface pattern designing, sewing, cooking, bicycling, and sneaking sleep pics of my husband (#greaserests).
