Ali Pate, of Herd of Cats and Road Trip Sock Yarn has been working for two years to make her dream locally sourced Colorado yarn line, and the result is GFR50!
GFR50: Greener Front Range, locally sourced fiber within 50 miles.
GFR50 is made with a blend of locally sourced fibers from our very own home state of Colorado. The yarns are processed and milled in Hudson, CO, and then dyed with love using eco-friendly practices by Road Trip Sock Yarn in Denver.
This 3 ply yarn is considered fingering weight, but has a hand spun feel with thinner and thicker fibers throughout. As a result the gram weight of each skein varies. The mill has measured each hank to have 400 yards to ensure one hank would be enough for many project options as Ali loves a one skein project!
Hand wash cool, lay flat to dry.
