The Market Tote was developed as a beginner sewing class at our shop in Denver, and this classic tote can now be seen at many a farmer's market around town! This tote is the perfect venue to showcase beautiful, large scale prints from your favorite modern fabric designers. This easily constructed tote pattern is a great introduction to bag making for beginner sewists, and a quick, rewarding project for more advanced stitchers! It is roomy and perfect for bringing home all your market finds.

Materials Required:
5/8 yds fabric (exterior)
1 yd coordinating fabric (lining, handles and pocket)
2 3/8 yds fusible cotton woven interfacing (optional)
sewing thread

Tools:
marking tool (chalk)
a rotary cutter
cutting mat and clear ruler is nice, *or* good old-fashioned fabric scissors and a yardstick will do sewing pins
turning tool (a chopstick will work)
iron and ironing board
sewing machine
