Sign up for Intro to Embroidery Pattern Making HERE! Attendees MUST take the Intro to Modern Floral Embroidery class before taking the Intro to Pattern Making class (as attendees will need basic stitch knowledge). Take both classes and get a 20% off discount (already applied before checkout)!
Join Kristen Gula, of Gulush Threads, as she dives into the world of modern floral embroidery and pattern making!
Learn how to create your own embroidery patterns - The Gulush Way! Kristen will walk you through brainstorming, creating, and then transforming anything your heart desires into an embroidery pattern! iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, & Procreate App are ideal for this class, but not required (Kristen will also be teaching a basic way to create embroidery patterns without any technology - although some kind of tablet would be great for this part as well, doesn’t matter what kind. Kristen will provide all non-tech materials for this class).
About the Instructor:
Kristen is a self-taught fiber artist from St. Louis, MO who took her love for hand embroidery to the next level by founding Gulush Threads in 2013.
Botanicals, mostly florals, are the main focus in her work as she takes a modern twist to the age-old medium. She lives by the motto of ‘creating more with less’ by painting with thread instead of using an encyclopedia of stitches. She is mostly known for her hand embroidery floral work which she highlights in her book, 200 Embroidered Flowers. You can also see examples of her work on Instagram, Patreon, & Youtube!
She's been a Fiber Art Instructor since 2016, traveling the country (and parts of Canada) teaching workshops to anyone willing to pick up a needle and thread.
