Fancy Party Bow Collars!
This year we are all extra thankful for our furry friends, and so decided it was time to create a pattern with them in mind. Welcome, Party Bow Pet Collar, a new free pattern! We want our pets to feel extra special this year, so Christina whipped up this adorable pattern for a festive bow collar.
The pattern includes instructions for two collar styles:
While you are thinking about fancy collars, why not plan matching holiday duds for you and your pet? Beatrix and Amber are coordinating as they stay cozy this season. Beatrix is wearing the Party Bow Dog Collar in Cranberry. Amber made a 100 Acts of Sewing Pants No 1 in Cayenne Mammoth Flannel (modified by narrowing and lengthening the leg and adding a knit rib cuff), and a Hosta Sweatshirt from Bamboo Cotton Stretch Rib in Heretic and Chilli.
Leon is wearing the Party Bow Cat Collar in Snowflake, which looks stunning against his shiny coat. The elastic closure on this collar style makes it easy to remove, and also safer for Leon, who likes to climb trees and get into all kinds of trouble. To coordinate your outfit with Leon, choose Mammoth Flannel in Country.
Itty Bitty is rocking the Party Bow Dog Collar in Cranberry. The pop of festive red is everything. Someone get some treats for this cutie! The Dog Collar version of the pattern includes illustrated instructions for attaching the buckle closure and D-ring.
We CAN. NOT. WAIT. to see your cute pet pals wearing their new collars! Share photos with us on social media using hashtag #PartyBowPetCollar so we can bask in the adorableness all season long!
P.S. The firefighters at the station where we took photos were so enchanted by Beatrix in her Fancy Collar that they opened up the dog door for her! Bea says, "Dress for the job you want--it'll open doors!"
The pattern includes instructions for two collar styles:
- A cat "safety" style collar with elastic closure—which would also work for other small furry friends.
- A dog "buckle & D-ring" style collar—not only fashionable, it can be used with leashes and tags.
