The Final Results: Jaime's Purebred Quilt!
You may remember a while back when we hosted the Fancy Horse Quilt Along. There were so many amazing quilts made in a variety of different styles. If you missed it then, you should check it out now! At the time, however, Jaime's quilt was at the quilter being finished so we were unable to share it with you. We are so happy to have it back at the store now and thrilled to share it in all its pony-glory.
Jaime started with the Moda Purebred Quilt Kit horse panel but made some modifications to the kit by adding a bold and wonky border of Nani Iro double gauze, Carolyn Friedlander's Carkai line, and some Cotton + Steel Solid Lawns. That took this already large quilt and made it even bigger!
We can't get over how bright and airy this quilt feels. Susan Santistevan quilted this and she did an amazing job. She quilted the lines of the paint-by-number horse and then mimicked the triangles in the border.
This stunner will be in hanging in the shop for a bit until Jaime can't stand it anymore and has to take it home for her bed. For a real treat, stop by soon and see it in person.
