Marta's Nani Iro Cami

I was gifted 2-ish yards of this beautiful beau yin yang Nani Iro cotton lawn for Christmas and had no idea what to make with it. So safely into my stash it went where I admired it for months.

Marta in her Ogden Cami with a FBA

I had been wanting to make the Ogden Cami ever since admiring the one Tiffani made last summer but was a little nervous about attempting it since my bust measurement is well outside the size range. With our staff summer sewing challenge I decided that now was the perfect time to try it out.

I thought that maybe a full bust adjustment might be just the ticket to make the Ogden Cami work for me. Luckily, Caitlin had already adjusted her pattern to include the FBA, but had not sewn the pattern yet, so I tested it out for her. She did a really great job and it worked like a charm! Though it is still just tiny bit too small in the bust for me, nothing too bad and totally still wearable! I had never made a cami or tank with this type of facing/strap construction, and thought it was super fun. Next time I might futz with the back shape and strap placement though because they do tend to slip off of my shoulders.

I love wearing this cami so much! I also really love this print. I love florals but struggle to wear them sometimes, and this one definitely works for me. I love that the white is just a little milky, making the contrast with the black a little softer.
