Laura's Sew Together Bag

You may have seen Tigress Kaylee in the store or on the blog before. When it comes to her crafting skills, the apple definitely didn't fall far from the tree. Kaylee's mom, Laura, whipped up this adorable Sew Together Bag in Alexia Abegg's adorable Boo! fabric and we are so smitten with it that we have to share it with you all.

Pattern: Sew Together Bag by SewDemented
Materials: 5 Fat Quarters from Boo! by Cotton + Steel plus 1 Fat Quarter Bricka Black for binding, 3 - 9"zippers, 1 - 18" zipper, 1/2 yard Annie's Soft and Stable (available in store)

When I saw the Boo! fabrics from Cotton and Steel I knew that I had to have them. I needed to find a project that would allow me to use several of the prints, because I couldn't choose just one. The Sew together bag was the perfect pattern for the job.

Not only does it allow you to use many fabrics, it is also one of the most useful little bags you can own. It has 4 open pockets and 3 zipper pockets inside, which keeps your things very organized.

I have made it with the option of a small pincushion, which is very cute, and very nice if you are using the bag for sewing supplies. I decided not sew the zipper tabs down to the sides as the pattern called for because I think the bag opens wider without, and I prefer that.

Looking at this bag might intimidate some people, but the instructions are very easy to follow. Give it a try! This is the perfect bag to make for all your friends, they will just love it!
