Hello, Hosta!

A new Fancy Tiger Crafts pattern, Hosta, is arriving this week. I'm so excited to share it with you! Hosta will start shipping this Friday, November 22nd and is available today for pre-order.

Fabric: Loop Terry Matching Rib in Light Grey Heather 
Size: Medium

Hosta is a drop-sleeve top with three cozy versions: long sleeved sweatshirt, boxy tee and funnel neck top. Today I'm sharing the sweatshirt version here. 

The pattern's uncomplicated construction is simple enough to make in an afternoon, and easy enough for a beginner. It's a great introduction to working with stretch fabrics.

Hosta's sweatshirt version has a slight dolman fit to the long-sleeve, a slightly cropped length and a crew neck. It works great in many types and weights of stretch fabrics. This rib knit gives it a bit of structure, weight and makes attaching cuffs a breeze. 

We've been listening to the discussion in our community about size inclusivity. We have been working behind the scenes here to expand our pattern size range in advance of the release of this new pattern—and a revamp of the Sailor Top, coming soon—to a range of 32"–56" bust. We are ever grateful to our community of crafters, who've helped us with pattern testing and feedback about fit.
