Heather's Woolstok Woven Basket
The new Woolstok Jumbo yarn from Blue Sky Fibers and Anne Weil’s new book, Weaving Within Reach are a match made in heaven!
I used Woolstok to make Anne’s Chunky Woven Basket and it was so much fun! Now I have the cutest woven basket that I put together in just a few short hours. Anne’s instructions are great and so easy to follow. She walks you through the steps of creating your own custom cardboard frame to build your basket around and carefully illustrates each of the steps for weaving in a way suitable for beginners and advanced weavers alike. No matter your skill level, you are sure to end up with a beautiful finished product.

Materials: Approx. 1 skein Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Jumbo
And let me take a minute to swoon over the Woolstok Jumbo. I am not usually a huge fan of larger weight yarns because I feel so limited on what to make and I don’t feel like it’s generally very stable. This yarn’s chain ply construction and sturdy 100% Fine Highland Wool takes away both of those feelings and I want to make everything with it! Blue Sky Fibers put together the most beautifully subtle color palette of warm greys, white and this millennial pink that I can't get enough of. You all are going to fall hard for this yarn, just like I did.
A few more woven baskets are definitely in my future - they are so perfectly giftable! I will definitely be keeping this light pink beauty for myself though. I can’t wait to fill my new basket to the brim with my stash of yarn!
