Craft Up a Trend: Indigo Style

It's been so long since we've done a Craft Up a Trend post, but we couldn't resist with so much gorgeous and inspiring indigo stuff out there these days. This trend isn't new, but we can't seem to get enough of it. We have some awesome ideas for you to incorporate more indigo style into your life this summer.

Indigo Style
1 Moonstone Blouse by Anna Joyce Design /// 2 Orchard Indigo Diamond by Burn and Bridge /// 3 Indigo Shibori Quilt by Maura Grace Ambrose of Folk Fibers

Some of our favorite makers that work with indigo are Anna Joyce who dyes and sews clothing, Burn and Bridge's denim and chambray looks, and Maura Ambrose's hand-dyed and stitched quilts.

This Robert Kaufman Chambray pin dot paired with the Leini dress pattern by Named Clothing would make the perfect dress you will want to live in all summer.

We're completely smitten with the quilt that Sara Cougill is working on right now - a Four Winds quilt using a selection of dreamy chambrays. We've put together some chambray fat quarter bundles so you, too can achieve this beautiful indigo style for your home.

For knitters, we love the Saco Stripes tank by Pam Allen. You can use the naturally indigo-dyed Sincere Sheep Cormo sport to make your summer tank, shown here in Cumulus and Anja.

Of course you can achieve the ultimate indigo style by dyeing your own fabric or yarn. Check out our selection of natural dyes and kits to help you out. We would love to see a simple woven Scout tee sewn up in a beautiful shibori indigo. The silk in Robert Kaufman's cotton/silk Radiance basic fabric would take the dye great for a deep and true indigo blue.

Indigo style is the perfect style for easy and effortless summer time garments!
