Cobra Corsage Kalle

Dear Readers. Before we begin, I have to break it to you that this incredible "Cobra Corsage" fabric has already sold out forever. I'm sorry. It is one of my favorite prints we have ever carried in our 12 years here and I'm happy to have been able to make a shirt with it. Welcome my Cobra Corsage Kalle.

I've been excited about sewing up Kalle since it came out - there have been so many wonderful ones made and worn by our staff and customers! When this Cobra Corsage fabric hit FTC, I knew what needed to happen. The first bolt sold out before I could get any so I had to wait for more to ship from England. We also ordered these other snake prints now that we know how you really feel about snakes. This fabric is a new line of British lawns we're carrying and (hot tip) they're very similar to Liberty in feel. I loved sewing with this fabric.

I went ahead and lengthened my Kalle crop top before starting. Despite how short I am, I have an unusually long torso (bodies are weird), and I knew I would need more length. Like all Closet Case Patterns, I love the little details in this. The choice of collar and hidden button placket, the faced hem and adorable sleeve hems. You can really customize this pattern with a ton of options.
