Britney's Dovestone Stella Wrap

Another winner from the Home book by Pam Allen! The Stella Wrap (as well as almost every other pattern in the book) has been calling for me to make it.

Pattern: Stella Wrap by Pam Allen from Home
Yarn: 5 skeins Baa Ram Ewe Dovestone DK in color Eccup
Size: Small
Modifications: None

When this KAL started, I knew this had to be the one - my very first sweater! I was drawn to Baa Ram Ewe's Dovestone yarn because of the softness, the really cool blend of wool breeds, and the color is a staple in my winter wardrobe. It was so soft to work with and blocking made it even softer!

This entire sweater is brioche, a fact I did not know until after I'd committed to making it. As it turns out, I freaking LOVE brioche! It's so easy once you get the hang of it, and it makes the most luxurious double layer fabric.

One really fantastic thing about Stella is that it is like two sweaters in one. Wear it long, or flip it--hem up--for a more cropped cardigan and extra coziness around your shoulders and neck.

My favorite way to wear this sweater is definitely hem-up, and I've worn it almost every day since making it. It's like wearing the squishiest blanket!
