We’ve just wrapped up our Apart Together KAL

We’ve just wrapped up our Apart Together KAL, and now there are so many beautiful new socks in the world! Many thanks to Dawn Landix for her generous and lovely pattern, which she created for our community while we social distance. This was our first completely virtual KAL. It was a wonderful success and a fantastic way to stay together while we are all staying apart in this pandemic.
We had folks join the KAL from near and far, and our prize winners are example of that!

Our winner for best finished photo is Francesca. We love the extra length she added to her Apart Together socks. And can we please just teleport ourselves to the dewey green field in Italy where she took her sock photo? Right now!

Special Techniques prize goes to Alicia, one of our longtime customers and local Denver pals. We were impressed with her testing of a new grafting technique, using contrasting stitching so she could compare the result with her usual kitchener graft. We always love a bit of knitting nerdery.

Best In-Progress photo goes to Allison in Kentucky. We can’t resist a lovely little lay-down shot of gorgeous knitting tools and a behind the scenes look at the construction of pretty socks. Makes us want to cast on all over again!

Thanks to everyone who participated, we so enjoyed knitting along with you. Keep an eye out—we are already planning our next knit-along! Details coming soon!
