Junegrass Pullover by Carrie Bostick Hoge

Junegrass is a limited yarn, but of course we needed to have a pattern for it and of course I wanted that to be a pullover. We asked one of our favorite designers if she would write a pattern for Junegrass and I'm thrilled to say she accepted—welcome Junegrass Pullover by Carrie Bostick Hoge!

Carrie Bostick Hoge is the woman behind Madder and Making magazine. She is known for executing classic, simple designs. I love almost everything she designs. Last year we hosted a KAL for her Lucinda sweater which is one of my most-worn sweaters I've ever knit. I wanted something timeless and classic for this special yarn and Carrie was just the woman for the job.

Carrie is a superstar because this was on a super tight timeline. We gave her no instructions other than we wanted a pullover. We had no idea what she was knitting until she sent us the finished pattern and sweater. You guys. We're in love.

Junegrass Pullover Back View

Junegrass Pullover is a sweater that celebrates the beauty of simplicity. Using the classic contrast of stockinette and garter stitch and with straightforward construction, Junegrass is knit top-down with raglan yoke. Side slits and a longer back hem add a modern twist to this clean design. The neck, hem and sleeves are all finished with garter stitch. The sleeves have two length options, 3/4 (shown) or long. The sweater does best with a bit of drape (the 25% Wensleydale helps with that) and should have a couple of inches of positive ease. (shown with 2 inches on Jaime)

Would really love to purchase the pattern through Ravelry as indicated in the blog post: “It will be available in PDF form right here on our site as well as on Ravelry . . .” I sent an email through the Contact Us link a week ago, but haven’t received a response. Is there a reason the pattern is not available on Ravelry?
