Join Our My First Fancy Sweater Knit Along
Our first knit along of 2022 will be lead by Alicia who is excited to guide experienced and inexperienced knitters alike through the My First Fancy Sweater Knit Along. It doesn't have to be your first sweater, but Alicia has chosen the First Raglan Sweater because it is so versatile in design and offers so many pattern options to knitters of all experience levels.
Alicia will cast on with knitters on February 8 during our Virtual Craft Night. The knit along will conclude six weeks later on March 22 during another Virtual Craft Night.
Fancy Tiger Crafts will offer a 15% discount on worsted weight skeins of Kelbourne Woolens Germantown , Fancy Tiger Crafts Heirloom Romney , & Knerd String Worsted to knit along participants in store or online with the code "firstfancyKAL". Because of our arrangement with our Heirloom Romney provider, participants should consult a sales person if they cannot find a sweater's quantity in a chosen color. It may be difficult to get additional stock in time for the knit along and in matching dye lots. Other suggested yarns for this sweater would be Brooklyn Tweed, Woolfolk and Retrosaria.
The Rules
We will award prizes for the Best Work in Progress and Best Finished Sweater photos. Participants should post their photos throughout the knit along and by March 23 using the hashtag #FirstFancySweater.
- The Best Work in Progress photo will receive a $25 gift card and a Fancy Tiger Crafts zipper tote.
- The Best Finished Project photo will receive a $50 gift card and a Fancy Tiger Crafts zipper tote.
Winners will be announced on March 25.

Hi! I would love to participate. I have a few questions on the dates.
I am going on a rafting trip with no access to cell service or internet from March 17th-April 9th, so I wouldn’t be able to attend the final class or respond in the event I am a winner.
I am a fairly experienced knitter and I have knit sweaters for babies and kids (age 3-8). At the final “cast-off” will any thing out of the ordinary be covered that might prevent me from finishing if I miss the March 25 session?
